Marketing Assistant

(4 days/week)

Initial 3 month contract with view to becoming a permanent position

We’re hiring a Marketing Assistant to support our communication and acquisition campaigns – and we’d love you to join our team!

Enova is Australia’s first community-owned, renewable energy retailer, based in Byron Bay’s Arts and Industry Estate.  We’re a small, friendly and energetic team of people who are passionate about doing things differently, and making our customers smile.



We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual with great communication, writing and digital marketing skills.

Your key responsibilities include supporting us to implement our marketing plans and acquisition campaigns, and you’ll work across all aspects of marketing, from digital media platforms, to advertising, media relations, events and corporate communications.


Reporting to the Marketing Co-ordinator, your role will include:

  • Research and write a wide range of communications, from social media posts, to reports and grant writing.
  • Monitoring all digital platforms and help create new and engaging content, as well as respond to social media customer enquiries/feedback.
  • Help coordinate and update website content
  • Managing the image and video library
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of marketing materials
  • Assist with PR and media activities, as well as the development of company documents and reports
  • Event co-ordination and assisting with sponsorship and partnership activities
  • Other duties as required.


Our ideal candidate:

  • Marketing, public relations and event management skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Creativity in developing written content and marketing activities
  • Tertiary qualifications and experience in communications or marketing
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational skills including multi-tasking
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a small team
  • Digital skills (we use WordPress and Active Campaign), plus a working understanding of SEO and MS Office
